BDDA operates an advice shop within the centre. The advice shop is is open Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 3pm, and is manned by our friendly, trained disability advisor, David Bailey. David can provide information and advice on a wide range of issues facing disabled people, their families and carers. We will help with matters from the simple to the complex. We can also make referrals to the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) to aid in matters concerning disability benefit.
We’re also able to provide advice for the nicer things in life, like holiday venues throughout the UK and abroad, how to get discounted travel, and events and attractions suitable for or designed specifically with disabled people in mind.
David has disabilities of his own and can therefore bring the benefit of his own personal experience and common sense to the advice he offers.
